Heavy Engineering Investment. No Confidence It Drives Growth.

You raised the round and hired the engineers. But priorities keep shifting, milestones keep slipping, and every slipped sprint is runway burning and revenue not booked. Here's what that looks like, and what we install to fix it.

🕳️

Delivery Blind Spots

No visibility into project health until something is already late. Leadership finds out at the demo, not during the sprint.

What We Build For You

Visibility Before Things Slip

The Engine installs a weekly operating cadence with review gates and delivery dashboards, so you and the board see project health during the sprint, not after the miss.

🗑️

Wasted Engineering Cycles

Your team is building features nobody adopts. You're paying senior engineers to build the same thing twice, or the wrong thing once.

What We Build For You

A Revenue-Prioritized Backlog

We rank the backlog by business impact and install a delivery structure that keeps engineering focused on the highest-impact work. Every cycle goes toward revenue-driving product.

🔀

Priority Whiplash

You're moving fast, but priorities shift every week and nobody can say with confidence that the work drives growth. Firefighting has replaced planning.

What We Build For You

One Delivery Structure Everyone Works Through

The Engine installs a single delivery structure and a predictable weekly cadence. Priorities change through the system, not around it, so the team stays pointed at the milestones that matter.

🔥

Existential Risk

At this stage, delivery is a survival issue. A missed milestone can mean a missed quarter, and a missed quarter can mean a failed funding round.

What We Build For You

A Funding Readiness Delivery System

A repeatable delivery engine your organization runs independently: playbook, operating rhythm, and a track record of hit milestones that supports growth and investor confidence.

The MVP Velocity Engine

A free call, a one-week Diagnostic, then an 8-week engagement that runs in three phases: Velocity Audit, Engine Build, and Handoff. You end with a delivery system your team runs without us.

1
Free

Scoping Call

2
Step 2 · 1 Week

3
8 Weeks · 8 Sessions

The MVP Velocity Engine

Three phases. Velocity Audit: map where work stalls between the team and shipped product. Engine Build: install the revenue-prioritized backlog, weekly cadence, and guardrails. Handoff: your named owner runs it, with a playbook and recorded walkthrough.

A Delivery System, Not a Slide Deck

By the end of the 8 weeks, these are running inside your tools and your team knows how to operate them.

💰

Revenue-Prioritized Backlog

Every item ranked by business impact. Engineering works the highest-impact work first, and you can defend the order to the board.

🧭

Single Delivery Structure

One structure every workstream moves through, built inside JIRA, Linear, or Asana. No duplicate work, no orphaned projects, no side doors.

📅

Weekly Operating Cadence

A predictable weekly rhythm of planning, review, and shipping. Milestones stop being surprises because progress is checked before it slips.

🛡️

Guardrails

Review and QA gates, CI checks, and security sign-off built into the flow of work. Ship fast without shipping something that burns you later.

📊

Delivery Dashboards

Visibility for leadership and the board: project health, milestone progress, and what shipped. You find out during the sprint, not at the demo.

📦

Handoff Playbook

A playbook, templates, and a recorded walkthrough, handed to a named internal owner. The team ships fast and safely without us.

What the Diagnostic Covers

One focused week inside your delivery workflow. Here's exactly what you get.

🗺️ Map Where Work Stalls

We trace the path between your team and shipped product and map where work stalls or duplicates: planning, handoffs, review, QA, deploy. The map is written down, not delivered as a hallway opinion.

🎯 Pinpoint the 3-5 Constraints

Every team has dozens of annoyances but only a handful of true constraints. We name the 3-5 that are actually slowing revenue-driving work, so you fix causes instead of symptoms.

💰 Rank the Backlog by Business Impact

We rank your backlog by business impact, so engineering effort maps to revenue and growth milestones instead of whoever asked loudest.

📄 Written Findings + Engine Proposal

You get the findings in writing, plus a fixed-price proposal for the 8-week Engine engagement. If you proceed, the Diagnostic fee is credited in full. If you don't, the findings are yours to act on.

What the Diagnostic Typically Finds

Real examples of the constraints we surface in scaling engineering organizations, grouped by where they live in the delivery flow.

Prioritization

Effort Detached From Revenue

  • Backlog ranked by recency, not business impact
  • Features shipped that nobody adopts
  • Priorities reshuffled mid-sprint by escalation
  • No shared definition of the next milestone
Delivery Flow

Work That Stalls or Duplicates

  • Multiple workstreams, no single delivery structure
  • Two teams building the same thing twice
  • Work stuck between product and engineering handoffs
  • Sprints that end with "almost done"
Guardrails & Quality

Speed Without Safety

  • Review and QA gates skipped under deadline pressure
  • CI checks that exist but don't block anything
  • Security sign-off happening after release, or never
  • Rework eating the cycles saved by rushing
Visibility

Leadership Finds Out at the Demo

  • No shared view of project health until something is late
  • Status assembled by hand for every board meeting
  • Milestone dates that nobody actually believes
  • The CTO as the only source of delivery truth

Most scaling teams have constraints in at least two of these areas. The Diagnostic names yours, in writing, and the Engine proposal shows exactly how we'd fix them.

What This Is Not

Not a strategy deck. The Diagnostic delivers written findings you can act on Monday morning: the constraints, ranked, with the fix. We don't bill for slides.

Not an open-ended consulting engagement. The Diagnostic is one week. The Engine is eight. Then we hand off and leave. Ongoing advisory is optional, for teams that want us on speed dial, not because the work didn't finish.

Not Agile coaching. We won't certify your team in Scrum or rename your meetings. We diagnose the actual constraints in your delivery flow and install a system that removes them.

Not a heavyweight enterprise framework. No SAFe rollout, no PMO, no 40-page process manual. Lightweight delivery infrastructure designed for a scaling startup, sized to a 5-25 person engineering team.

Who It's For

Seed, Series A, and Series B vertical SaaS startups with 25-100 employees and 5-25 engineers

CTOs, VPs of Engineering, and founders leading delivery without a mature delivery operating system

Teams with established product-market fit, multiple product workstreams, and typically $5M-$50M raised

Companies where the next funding round depends on hitting strategic milestones, and delivery is the risk

Leaders who want operators who execute, not consultants who diagnose and leave

Stop Guessing What to Fix

One week and you'll know the 3-5 constraints blocking your revenue milestones, in writing. Credited in full if you move into the Engine engagement.

The Process

How We Engage

A free scoping call, a one-week Delivery Diagnostic, then the 8-week MVP Velocity Engine: 8 sessions, a Slack channel for async work, remote-first video. Click any step to see what actually happens.

5

Engine Phase 3: Handoff

A named internal owner, a playbook, templates, and a recorded walkthrough. The team runs it without us.

6

Optional Ongoing Advisory

Step 1: Free Scoping Call

A 30-minute call with a senior operator. No pitch deck, no commitment. We dig into where delivery is slipping, what your next round depends on, and whether we're the right people to fix it.

  • Surface the symptoms: slipping milestones, shifting priorities, features nobody adopts
  • Pressure-test whether delivery is actually the constraint on growth
  • Recommend honestly whether the Delivery Diagnostic is the right next step
  • Say "no fit" if it's not the right work, and mean it
Our Operating Bias

No Excessive Meetings. No BS KPIs or OKRs.

As part of the Diagnostic, we review the meetings, KPIs, and OKRs your team is already running and tell you which ones aren't earning their keep. If a weekly status meeting could be a Slack message, we'll say so. If an OKR is being measured because it's easy to count rather than because it moves the business, we'll flag it.

And we won't add to the pile. The Engine is 8 sessions over 8 weeks plus an async Slack channel, and that's it. No standing recurring "alignment" calls, no scorecards built to make us look busy. We send concise async updates and meet only when a decision actually requires a room.

About MVP Velocity

From $1B Programs to Production AI — the Same Playbook.

MVP Velocity is run by two senior delivery leaders — both PMP and CSM certified — who've spent careers shipping in the places where shipping is hardest. Matt is a multi-time founder — co-founded Energy Gopher (DTC renewable energy via third-party electrical suppliers) and an RPA consulting practice. He's a former AVP at Voya Investment Management, where he directed $1B+ M&A program integrations — including a London-based AI acquisition. He now builds LLM-powered SaaS products and a production library of Claude Agent Skills that automate operational work end-to-end.

Vijay brings 15+ years of project & delivery leadership across Fitch Ratings, Credit Suisse, KPMG, and New York Life. He directed a 16-person cross-functional team delivering enterprise ETL pipelines and APIs. He has led and coached multiple teams through Agile transformations and founded an internal AI adoption working group to accelerate innovation within a heavily regulated environment.

We started MVP Velocity because the pattern that breaks shipping at a 25,000-person bank is the same one that breaks it at a 25-person startup: bottlenecks live between teams, ownership is fuzzy, and someone senior is unblocking instead of leading. We bring the operator's playbook — sharpened on $1B M&A integrations, refined across an RPA consulting practice Matt co-founded, and now extended into AI — minus the bureaucracy, the ceremony, and the slide decks. Applied to startups that need cross-functional execution to ship faster.

What Makes Us Different

🛠️

We do the work, not just diagnose it

Strategy decks aren't deliverables. A running delivery engine is: a revenue-prioritized backlog, a weekly cadence, guardrails, and dashboards, live inside your tools. Every engagement ends with something running, not just a recommendation.

🔀

Built for scaling vertical SaaS

We blend startup operator experience with lightweight delivery infrastructure designed for scaling startups. No heavyweight enterprise frameworks, and no pretending a 15-person team needs a PMO.

We've lived the pain

Missed commitments, unclear priorities, teams scaling without the right operating systems. We've been inside those rooms, on both the startup and enterprise side. That's why the Engine exists.

🤝

Built for startup speed

No PMO ceremony, no enterprise overhead. We work how startups actually work — Slack-native, tool-agnostic, async-first, and on the same shipping clock as your team.

Let's Talk Execution

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about working with MVP Velocity.

30 minutes, video, with a senior operator. No pitch deck. We dig into the symptoms you're seeing: slipping milestones, shifting priorities, features nobody adopts, no confidence the engineering spend drives growth. By the end of the call we'll tell you honestly whether the Delivery Diagnostic is the right next step. The call is free and there's no obligation to go further.

One week inside your delivery workflow. We map where work stalls or duplicates between the team and shipped product, pinpoint the 3-5 constraints slowing revenue-driving work, and rank your backlog by business impact. You get written findings plus a fixed-price proposal for the 8-week Engine engagement. The Diagnostic fee is credited in full if you move into the Engine engagement. If you don't proceed, the findings are yours to act on.

Four things, all live inside your tools by the end: a revenue-prioritized backlog so engineering works the highest-impact items first; a single delivery structure every workstream moves through; a predictable weekly operating cadence with review gates; and guardrails (review and QA gates, CI checks, security sign-off) so speed doesn't come at the cost of safety. Plus delivery dashboards so leadership and the board see project health during the sprint, not at the demo.

Fast. The Diagnostic usually starts within days of the scoping call and takes one week. The Engine starts once you accept the proposal and runs 8 weeks. Free call to a running delivery engine your team owns: about ten weeks, with a clear decision gate at each step.

Less than you'd think. The Engine is 8 working sessions over 8 weeks, plus a shared Slack channel for async questions. We need a named internal owner (the person who will run the engine after handoff) for a couple of hours a week, and access to your tools. We do the heavy lifting. The engagement never depends on your team becoming project managers.

No. The Engine is tool-agnostic and gets built inside whatever your team already uses: JIRA, Linear, Asana, or a mix. If a tool is genuinely part of the problem, we'll tell you, but the decision is yours. We never recommend change for change's sake, and we never make a tool migration a condition of the engagement.

No. We don't believe in excessive meetings or BS KPIs and OKRs. As part of the Diagnostic, we review the meetings, KPIs, and OKRs your team is already running and flag the ones that aren't earning their keep: recurring status meetings that could be a Slack message, scorecards built around what's easy to count rather than what moves the business. The Engine itself is 8 sessions and an async Slack channel. We don't add to the pile.

Yes. The Diagnostic fee is credited in full if you move into the Engine engagement. In practice that makes the Diagnostic a low-risk way to see how we work: if the findings land and you proceed, the fee comes off the Engine price. If you don't proceed, you keep a written, ranked list of the constraints blocking your revenue milestones.

Our sweet spot: Seed, Series A, and Series B vertical SaaS startups with 25-100 employees, 5-25 engineers, multiple product workstreams, and established product-market fit. Usually the CTO, VP of Engineering, or a founder is holding delivery together personally. If you're pre-product-market fit or under about 15 people, you probably don't need a delivery operating system yet, and we'll tell you that on the free call.

Yes, we're remote-first by design. The scoping call, the Diagnostic, and all 8 Engine sessions happen over video, with a shared Slack channel for async work in between. If anything, remote and hybrid teams get the most value from a single delivery structure, because nothing coordinates itself in a hallway.

No, and that's the point. In Phase 3 we hand the running engine to a named internal owner on your team, with a playbook, templates, and a recorded walkthrough. Your team ships fast and safely without us. If you want us on speed dial afterward, optional ongoing advisory is available, but it's never a condition of the engagement.

Talk Advisory →

The Engine is quoted after the Diagnostic, when we know exactly what your delivery system needs. It's always a single fixed number: no hourly billing, no surprises. And the Diagnostic fee comes off the top.

Common Pricing Questions

The 30-minute scoping call is free. The Delivery Diagnostic is a fixed fee for one week of work and written findings. The Engine is quoted after the Diagnostic as a single fixed price, and the Diagnostic fee is credited in full if you move into the Engine engagement. If we're not the right fit, we'll say so on the free call and often point you somewhere better.

Scope and investment are determined after your Delivery Diagnostic. Fixed price, no hourly billing. The Diagnostic tells us exactly what your delivery system needs: how many workstreams, how much structure already exists, how much guardrail work is required. So the quote is grounded in your actual constraints, not a guess from a sales call. Every Engine engagement lands as a single fixed number, with clear deliverables, and the Diagnostic fee is credited in full.

The Diagnostic is invoiced when it starts. The Engine is 50% on signing, 50% on delivery, with the Diagnostic credit applied to the first invoice. Ongoing advisory invoices monthly, in advance. No hourly billing, ever.

Ongoing advisory gives you senior operator time each month: keeping the engine tuned as the team scales, pressure-testing decisions, or unblocking the team. Most clients use it for a monthly check-in plus async questions in Slack. Scope is set to what your team actually needs. Cancel anytime. It's designed for teams that finished the Engine and want a light safety net.

No. Ongoing advisory is optional and we mean it. The whole point of the handoff is that your team runs the engine without us. Come back only if there's actual ongoing value; we're happy either way.

If we discover something in scope that needs adjusting, we'll talk about it before doing the work. Small additions usually get absorbed; larger changes get a written change order with the new scope and price before we proceed. We won't run up a tab in the background.

Help Startups Ship Better

We're building a small, sharp team of operators who love getting hands-dirty across messy, cross-functional shipping problems — and leaving working systems behind. If that's you, keep reading.

Built for People Who Ship

We practice what we preach. MVP Velocity runs lean, moves fast, and gives everyone the autonomy to do their best work. No status meetings about status meetings.

🌍

Fully Remote

Work from anywhere. We care about output, not office hours. Async-first, with overlap hours for collaboration.

🧠

Operator Mindset

Everyone here has built things at startups. We hire people who've felt the pain our clients feel — because that's what makes the work real.

📈

Growth With the Business

As we take on more clients, the team grows. Early team members shape the culture, the methodology, and the company.

💰

Fair Compensation

Competitive pay, async flexibility, and the satisfaction of watching a team go from chaotic to shipping in real time.

What We Value
01

Clarity over cleverness. Say what you mean. Write it down. Make it actionable.

02

Opinions held loosely. Strong convictions, but always willing to update when the evidence changes.

03

Client outcomes over hours billed. We succeed when they ship, not when we invoice.

04

Small team, big trust. No micromanagement. We hire adults and treat them accordingly.

Current Openings

We're small and selective. Every hire shapes the company.
